Steve and Heidi's house for the 4th of July
Steve and Heidi will be hosting the family at their house on the 4th of July. It should be a great day, thank God the weather cooled off a bit. As usual, Heidi will have lots of great food. Hope to see you all there!
Our Sympathies to Lane
Everyone say a prayer for Lane. He lost 2 of his friends in a car accident this week. It was a horrible tragedy, the kind that shakes the foundation of a small town. I think all of us have a memory of losing someone in High School, so we know just how painful that can be. Please pray for the families of Davey Wilds and Daniel Chute. I don't know how a person could survive such a loss without faith.

Cody Hits the Big Stage - Prairie Capital Convention Center, Springfield, IL - June 8-10
Hey Everyone!
Cody has been asked to hit the Big Stage in Springfield, Illinois! He will be singing at the Prairie Capital Convention Center, June 8, 2010 - June 10, 2010. The 82nd Illinois FFA State Convention will be returning to the Prairie Capital Convention Center June 8-10, 2010. Over 3,000 members, advisors, parents, and guests will be in attendance to celebrate another year of success for the Illinois Association FFA. And they have ask Cody to perform there. This is one BIG place! I asked Cody if he thought he would get stage fright and he said no. I think singing just comes naturally for him. I'm sure he will do an awesome job. School will soon be out, but Cody is going to be a busy boy this year. He has several gigs coming up this summer, besides the one in Springfield . He’s been asked to sing at the Smithboro, Mulberry Grove and Pleasant Mound Picnics. Also he has booked a Wedding and a Benefit. We are all very proud of Cody. He is a really talented young man and we’re hoping he remembers us when he becomes famous. Lol. Way to go Cody! We love you!

72 holes and Counting
Four days into vacation and we have played 72 holes of mini golf! J is turning into a cross between a beach bum and a mini golf pro. I'm not sure we will ever get him out of here. The seafood is enough to convince us to stay.

Bowling in Peoria
Lane bowled Saturday morning the Pepsi Tournament State Championships. He finished 72nd out of 147 kids in his division. We are happy and proud that he finished in the top half considering this is his first time competing in anything like this and he has been involved in baseball 6 days a week all spring. Thankfully, tomorrow will be the last baseball game and school is out next week!

Reese is very excited that we have "have our own website"! Look forward to being able to keep up with everyone better! When I have some more time I'll try to get the pictures that Reese took when the Comets played at the Grizzlies' stadium up. This is our last week of Comet baseball and we will be in Peoria this week while Lane bowls in the Pepsi tournament state championships. Wish us luck!! Love ya!
